Menhirs and dolmens, twisted pines and remains of fallen buildings overgrown with ivy. Darkened corners and secluded nooks, mountain peaks lined with waterfalls and impenetrable jungle. Lonely, romantic, awe-inspiring, here and there terrifying - but always imbued with genius loci and seculi. It is said that what is more than 50 metres from the car is not photogenic. But there are some places that are impressive precisely because they are hidden from most eyes and you have to pay for them with an arduous journey, sweat and blood. But sometimes you just need to keep your eyes open and you'll find them behind a pub. Who knows.
